Free and Reduced Meal Benefits
Free and reduced-price meal benefits that were approved last year through an application will expire Sept. 18, 2025, when the 30-day carryover period ends. Please be sure to submit a new application each year to avoid any interruption in meal benefits. Students who were directly certified through the Department of Education do not need to apply.

If you have any questions about your student's status or whether you need to reapply, contact Casady Williamson at
cawilliamson@scecina.org.
Lunch account deposits
While we wait for MealTime to roll out a credit card reader that connects directly to student accounts, we wanted to share a few easy ways to add funds in the meantime.

You’re welcome to stop by the Spirit Shop before or after school to make a credit card deposit to your student’s MealTime account. You can also continue to make online deposits at any time on MyMealTime.com.

Prefer to use cash or a check? Just send it with your student to give to the kitchen staff, or drop it off at the school office. (Please note: all cash will be added to the student’s account—we’re not able to make change at the registers.)

Thanks for helping us keep mealtimes running smoothly!
Substitute teachers needed!
Scecina is in need of substitute teachers for the 2025-26 school year. If you are interested in applying for a substitute teacher position, please email your resume to Assistant Principal Marca Budzenski at mbudzenski@scecina.org.

If you are currently a substitute teacher with us, there is no need to apply.

Donate your vintage tulle dresses!
Have a vintage tulle dress like the one pictured? We’d love to give it new life in If you have a dress to donate, we’d be happy to take it off your hands and put it to great use on stage for our upcoming production!
Help build a coral reef!
Help us build our coral reef! This spring, we will mount a production of Disney’s “The Little Mermaid.” In the coming weeks, we will list items we hope to collect from the community to help bring the show to life.

If you have items to donate, drop them off in the main office with Mrs. Hentz. We are currently collecting:

  • Old newspapers
  • Mesh produce bags (for example, the bags lemons, potatoes and garlic come in at the grocery store)
  • Cardboard produce containers (for example, see below)

We prefer recycled items rather than new. We know these items can be purchased, but we would rather reuse than buy new.

Reach out to Ms. Young at lyoung@scecina.org with any questions.
