Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament

The Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament will take place in the Scecina Chapel from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 13. All are welcome to attend. This is a great way to continue preparing hearts and minds for the coming of Christ at Christmas.

The Introduction to Business classes are excited to launch a pilot coffee bar in the Spirit Shop from Dec. 9 to Dec. 13, from 7:30 a.m. to 7:55 a.m.
For just $3, you can grab a 12-ounce cup of regular coffee with your choice of vanilla or caramel creamer. Sugar packets, stirrers, napkins, and sleeves will be provided.

Making Waves and Breaking PRs

The swim team is off to an incredible start this season, with our athletes hitting personal records (PRs) at every meet! A special shoutout goes to Lennon Klinck, who has already made history (again) by breaking two school records! Lennon swam a 2:18.93 in the 200 IM and set a new benchmark in the 500 Free with a time of 5:37.04. With such a strong start, this team is one to watch this winter!

The FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) will be available beginning Dec. 1. This is the first step in the financial aid process for students attending college next year. FAFSA Nights are scheduled for Jan. 16 and Jan. 23. In collaboration with the Commission for Higher Education and the Indiana Latino Institute, assistance will be provided in English and Spanish. More information about FAFSA will be sent to seniors and their families.

Scecina Memorial High School is seeking a morning small bus driver for a paid position transporting students from the Greenfield/New Palestine area to Scecina. A regular Indiana driver’s license is required. The route will take approximately 75 minutes in total. You might not know that the Crusader kitchen staff arrives early every school day to prepare breakfast for students. From 7:30 to 7:55 a.m., they offer a variety of choices, including yogurt parfaits with fruit and granola, breakfast bagels, sausage, egg and cheese biscuits, muffins, donuts, cereal, cinnamon rolls, fresh fruit, and more. Breakfast is included in that benefit if your student qualifies for free or reduced-price meals. A reduced-price breakfast costs 30 cents, and a paid breakfast costs $2.25. All items are also available for à la carte purchase.

All students must complete all service-learning requirements before the end of the 3rd Quarter of the 2024-25 school year.
Here are the required hours of service per grade level.
- Incoming 9th Graders: 10 Hours
- Incoming 10th Graders: 15 Hours
- Incoming 11th Graders: 15 Hours
- Incoming 12th Graders: 15 Hours

Please remember to keep track of your student's MealTime account balance. You can easily add funds, review your student's purchases, set up low-balance alerts, and more by visiting MealTime.
To get started, create your MealTime account, and then link your student's account by navigating to the "Manage Cafeteria Accounts" page. Select "Scecina Memorial High School" as the school name and use your student's PowerSchool Student Number as the "Student ID." If you're unsure of the Student ID, please email Casady Williamson at cawilliamson@scecina.org and include your student's name.
Casady can also assist with any other questions about MealTime, making payments, or applying for Free or Reduced Meals.
