The free and reduced lunch program

If you have not submitted the application for the National School Lunch ProgramFree and Reduced lunch program for THIS school year, please do so as soon as possible. The application and information can be found at scecina.org/crusader-cafe

All students currently are receiving free lunch and breakfast each day regardless of application. But by applying for and receiving eligibility, there are other benefits – such as receiving the P-EBT cards from the Indiana Family and Social Services Administration to assist with food when students are not physically in school to receive lunch and breakfast.

If you think you are eligible but are unsure whether or not you applied in the fall, please email Maureen Rowe at mrowe@scecina.org.

      https://scecina.org/student-activities/crusader-cafe/

Free lunch and breakfast for all students

All students can receive school breakfast and lunch at no cost through the end of the school year. This is possible through the National School Lunch Program and is funded by the government due to the pandemic. Families do not have to apply to receive this.

Mornings can be really crazy…the alarm doesn’t go off…the kids don’t want to get up…there’s no time to eat breakfast before the bus comes…or they’re just not ready to eat. Or maybe your teenager grabs a can of soda and a candy bar on the way to school. If this sounds like your house, we have good news for you.

Breakfast is served at school! School breakfast will energize your child’s day and provide them with a healthy start. A nutritious breakfast helps students be more alert so they can learn more in class, and has plenty of vitamins and nutrients for a strong and healthy body.

Plan to help your child start the day right with school breakfast!
