A spooky fall play

Scecina’s theatre students present "Trap" at 7:30 p.m. October 1, 3, and 4. Due to the spooky nature of the show, it is not recommended for those younger than 13.

The performance will take place outdoors and you must have a ticket and wear a mask. Please bring a chair or blanket for seating.

Others will be able to live-stream the October 3 and 4 performances.

Visit www.scecina.org/theatre for more information and to purchase tickets for the live performances.

MENACHAP, CALIFORNIA. An incomprehensible event: every person in the audience of a high school play falls unconscious. Every person but one. Using interviews with witnesses, loved ones, first responders, and the investigators pursuing the case, a theatre ensemble brings the story of the strange event to life, documentary-style. Unnerving, exhilarating, and wildly inventive, you’ve never walked into anything quite like “Trap.”

For student book lovers

The Scecinarama is out!

The 2020 Scecinarama yearbook was inspired by Marvel Comics. In it, the student yearbook staff tells the stories of Crusaders who also used skills and each other to overcome obstacles throughout the year.

The yearbook's new digital format allowed the student staff to provide a multimedia experience, including videos and photo slideshows.

Click on the link below to read, see, and hear what it was like and remember the Crusaders.

Free meals for all students

Good news!  All students at Scecina will receive a free breakfast and free lunch each day through December 31, 2020.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture has approved a waiver to provide this benefit to our families. The regular meal requirements that include servings of fruits and vegetables will apply to these free meals.

Students have the option of purchasing a la carte items or second meals at the normal prices to be paid from their cafeteria accounts. No changes to the cafeteria process:  students go through the line, use their ID, and eat!

We hope you take advantage of this opportunity for a nutritious meal at no charge.
